GAS PERMEABLE CONTACT LENSES

Rigid gas permeable contact lenses (also known as RGP or GP lenses) are a type of contact lens made from a hard, oxygen-permeable material. They are designed to maintain their shape on the eye and allow oxygen to pass through to the cornea. While they may take some time to get used to and require more maintenance than soft contact lenses, they can provide clearer vision for those with certain eye conditions such as astigmatism or irregular corneas.  Dr. Brian Cheatham can help determine whether RGP lenses are right for you.
